Abstract

In a context of global crises, organizational resilience has become vital for the survival and the development of organizations. In our paper we examine the literature reviews on organizational resilience in order to know how researchers in this field have operationalized their literature reviews and on the other hand synthesize the state of the art on organizational resilience to identify the major trends and challenges of this research field as well as the avenues for future research. For this purpose, Systematic review of 16 literature reviews on organizational resilience is carried out taking into account the guidelines of the PRISMA report. The results show that the literature on organizational resilience is increasingly rich in terms of conceptualization and operationalization of the concept, but is sometimes considered as disparate and ambiguous which makes organizational resilience’s field a fertile ground for research and mainly in terms of empirical validation of established models, theories and concepts.
