The role of the state in economic and social recovery in light of the COVID19 pandemic: the case of Morocco

Abstract

This article aims to show the role of the Moroccan state in economic and social recovery, in light of the Covid-19 health crisis, as well as the tools and means used in this context. To do this, the study presents the health, economic and social situation resulting from the pandemic. Then, it presents and analyzes the measures taken to fight the pandemic, minimize its impacts and revitalize the economy. Likewise, it outlines the future prospects and challenges of the Moroccan state in the light of the lessons learned from the current crisis. The study adopts an analytical methodology that analyzes data, information and statistics published by the various national and international institutions interested in the topic.

ملخص: يهدف هذا المقال إلى إبراز دور الدولة المغربية في التعافي االقتصادي و االجتماعي من انعكاسات األزمة الصحية الناجمة عن تفشي فيروس كورونا "كوفيد-19 ،" و اآلليات و الوسائل المستعملة لهذا الغرض. و من أجل ذلك تقدم هذه الورقة تحليال للوضعية الصحية و االقتصادية و االجتماعية الناجمة عن الجائحة، قبل عرض و تحليل اإلجراءات المتخذة من أجل مواجهة األزمة و التخفيف من حدتها و إعادة إنعاش االقتصاد، كما تعرض اآلفاق المستقبلية و التحديات المطروحة على الدولة المغربية على ضوء الدروس المستخلصة من األزمة الحالية و تعتمد الدراسة المقاربة التحليلية للمعطيات و البيانات و المعلومات، التي نشرتها مختلف المؤسسات الوطنية و الدولية التي تعنى بالموضوع.
